Hydrocarbon production and development

 Primary oil production in Syria started in 1967 while the actual production started in 1968 , after the erect of the first pumping station in Tal Addas north – east of Syria  , where crude oil was pumped through the pipeline to Tartous  terminal across Homs refinery in may 1968 .
Oil Production reached 1.13 Million M3/year .

Oil production has increased as a result of developing of the seismic survey and exploration drilling to riach 11 Million M3/year in 1976 .

Later some service contract companies started working in Syria and fulfilled commercial discoveries the actual production reached 30 Million M3/year in 2002  in addition some discovered gas fields were put into  production , and gas production reached 6 Billion M3/year in 2002 .
